Well, it's official...

Yesterday Pantone announced their choice for the 2015 colour of the year.
Like every year, the colour (and Pantone) is sure to be hit with both adoration and criticism, as so often this revelation is.  

If you're anything like me, you anxiously await for this December announcement.
After all, it's important stuff.
A colour that will fill the pages of decor magazines and fashion runways  for the year ahead.

Marsala, a reddish-brown shade that has me thinking that this year, maybe I can get on board this colour train.
Much more subdued and less in-your-face than last years Radiant Orchid, it could just be the colour punch that a room needs.

What are your thoughts on Marsala - Yay or Nay?

It seems like everywhere  I turn this holiday season I'm hit with the refreshing combination
of bright green paired with metallics and the perfect hit of black and white...and I'm loving it!

This is a far cry from the traditional look that you get when simply using live greenery to decorate.
It is the added and unexpected punch of the colour paired with other graphic elements that really does it for me!

This weekend while perusing the House & Home website (like I so often do) I couldn't help but notice
the amount of blue-green beauty...just on their homepage!

Although these deep, dramatic colours are pretty to look at, many may not be able to take the plunge when it comes to painting an entire room...colour can be a tricky (and intimidating!) thing.

So, why not add just a splash?
